All of Brenda Bergen's paintings are inspired by the mystic prose and poetry she loves. This particular title is taken from a line in an essay, written by Sant Rajinder Singh, in which he outlines his suggested steps for creating a peaceful world. The woman in the painting is swinging her baby for joy, as she dreams of raising her child in a peaceful world.

This painting, Knit Us All Together, is inspired by the poetry Sant Darshan Singh. The title is taken from a poem in which the mystic poet asks God to Knit Us All Together in the silken bonds of brotherhood. The old woman in the painting is knitting the sky with strips of previously painted watercolour paper, as she sits above the world, in conscious co-creation with the divine.

Inspired by the beautiful words of Sant Darshan Singh, Your Remembrance, depicts a woman sewing. "Your remembrance is sewn to the hem of my heart," is the complete line of poetry from which the title is taken. The woman is surrounded by faries, elves, and sprites, who are assisting her in her loving remembrance of someone dear.
