about the show

The World Artists Association (WAA) was formed in 1997 to promote art and artists around the world.

Membership of the WAA is 100+ practicing artists & organizations in over 20 countries. Some of these members represent 100's more artists.

Back to the show

'Artists can only benefit by attracting greater audiences to their work.'

What better then than to have a global Art Show Annually that shows a sample of the work being done by our membership.

Q. "Most of your membership have their own websites so why do they need to show just a few images in the WAA show?"

A. For many reasons, one very good reason is that most artwork is sold by artists in their own home area. Now having a website is not exactly news! However having work in a global exhibition is, and members can use that 'Association' to get local Newspaper/TV/Radio coverage...last year I got all three!

It helps to make you 'stand out' locally and of course the bigger the Association the more other organizations take notice:

Yahoo Net Events
etc.

Q. "How can I take part in the show?"

A. By becoming a member, all members may take part in the show. Agreed not all do, for various reasons, but it is an option....one of the many open to members.

The show will be updated periodically to allow new members to take part.

Q. " I agree the work looks great but do the artists make any money?"

A. Many do, however e-commerce is in its infancy, being involved now will pay dividends in the long run, 'you reap what you sow'. Also the nature of the net is changing to encourage sales; Amazon.com has just invested $28M dollars into Sotherby's Auction House in the UK to sell art online. The WAA will be working towards a closer link with ventures such as this and remember we are established and have a sound history of professional artists. The world has heard of the WAA.
