Do you ever expect to get rich/richer out of art?

I expect to get rich from my art. The question that arises out of this
is how do you define rich? Personally I am rich beyond belief in that I
have a stable life, full of people I love and want to be with. My art
allows me to express my self as well as the personal satisfaction I get
from using materials I adore in a way I find rewarding. I find the more
personal the images get the more universal the appeal. i.e. more
sales,awards, opportunity.

Was art your first love or do you have another passion?

In a sense art was my first love although I didn't always know that.
At the root of most things for me is the idea of creating something.
Whether it be a drawing, a garden. children. love, new hair, everything
is about creation. So if I define art as creation then absolutely it is
my first love.

What would you like to be better at, and why?

I would like to be better at "me", that each day I breathe I learn to
respect my life a little more. That I learn to look a little deeper into
the pond to find a ripple, that I feel a little deeper the warmth of my
daughters hand in mine. I want to fully develop all my sense of living so
that I can get the maximum enjoyment out of my life and in that respect I
will be a more fully developed artist because I will be able to interpret
my feelings more sincerely
and with genuine touch.

Thankyou very much Wendy
