Tell me about yourself, where you live and your background/lifestyle.

I'm a women, 43 years old. I live in the east of France, in an universitary town which is also the site of the European Parliament: Strasbourg. I'm married, I have three boys (14,16,18 years). I'm working (technical work) for some days in the month in an german-french television called "arte". I like everything which is modern. I practice art and also study modern art history. Since the 4th december, I'm doctor in art history. I presented successfully a thesis about "Malevich, the museum and the revolution". When I was a child, I wanted to be Picasso and I sticked douzen of paintings on the wall and put everywhere little sculptures. So do I until know, and my flat is an atelier, which is not easy for my family.

Who first influenced you artistically?

As an illustrator, I master figurative techniques, better since I trained with the fantastic method of Betty Edwards, "Drawing with the right side of the brain". I like especially abstract art and most of my painting are
geometric of lyric abstract art. I studied Malevich and the suprematism during about ten years. This theory and practice of art was very attractive and I learned a lot from the texts and diagrams of Malevich. For me, Kandinsky is also absolutely pure and is a school per se, and find too some echo in Klee.

What first attracted you to the Internet?

The possibility to display images easily, in a cheap way and a good quality. I'm not disappointed. It's the most powerful medium for images I've ever seen. It also means freedom. Nobody can prevent me from showing my works, but nobody is obliged to see them. Great.

What kind of artwork do you expect to be doing in the next 12 months or so?

I paint with several mediums: collage, calligraphy, watercolour, computer arts. I use to create some slide shows for Macintosh magazines and the net. They consist in series of watercolours od computer images supporting an short extract of a strong text (philosophy, poetry, scientific texts..). I will also make new series of painting on wooden bakground which I will sell in an open art market in my town. I particularly expect to put on line next a virtual gallery for the "imaginary museum" of Malevich, from Cézanne to suprematism.
