" Welcome to Bristol's very own and highly acclaimed comedy improvisation Company,' Barking Productions/Instant Wit'! The completely improvised show that brings you sketches, gags, songs, bizarre physical positions, surreal situations, flying packets of 'Instant Whip' and prizes - it's the show that quite literally 'slips you a custard' if you'll pardon that expression!

There's obviously a pun on Instant Wit and 'Instant Whip' so as a Company identity we've gone down 'blancmange avenue' as far as we possibly can. In fact we've even gone to the extent - for our publicity photographs - of having ourselves transposed en mass into a large bowl of blancmange complete with Company slogan, 'INSTANT WIT - the future's bright, the future's blancmange'!!

How the Company works is that there are over a dozen professional actors and musicians and each show is with either three or four actors and a musician, so audiences can return to see different combinations of performers as well as having the opportunity to enjoy a whole new completely improvised show.

We're also creating quite a niche for ourselves by performing Instant Wit as Corporate Entertainment. Recent shows include ones for Microsoft and another at government level for the National Health Service. We tend to perform the show in
combination with other training that we facilitate as Barking Productions Ltd. We operate a Corporate Training programme
which includes offering Ice-Breaker and Team-Building Workshops, Professional Actor Role-players, Forum Theatre and Voice Workshops to Businesses as well as the Instant Wit show itself.

The whole Instant Wit show experience, complete with as many cheesy inserts and references to blancmange as possible, is all rounded off with our Instant Wit Dessert Song...so don't say we don't treat you (and of course, if you're from America, all the above references to 'Instant Whip'and blancmange probably don't mean a single thing to you, so erm, come and see us here in sunny Blighty here at the Bath Fringe Festival at the Ustinov Studio and all will be made clear (or not)!!

Well that's were Instant Wit are different...they are there in front of you, live...just a few feet away, turning the most bizarre audience suggestions into a crafted performance through mime, dialogue,song and pathos! Was I in the audience, or was I in the show?

It's funny, its entertaining its outragous...and yes, oh yes, it is very witty.
