Teaching Art & Illustration

I have taught as a visiting lecturer and part-time lecturer at Stroud School of Art, Gloucestershire, Gloucester College of Art and Technology, Bristol Polytechnic, City of Bath College, Gwent College of Higher Education and the Museum of Naive Art, Bath.

In teaching illustration I focus on: How to survive as a freelance, translating words into images, experiments with a wide range of media, research and how to go about it.

In teaching printmaking I focus on: Demystifying printmaking, experimental approaches and combining techniques, making prints without a press.

In teaching drawing and painting I focus on: Drawing as a research tool, technical understanding, experiments with different media and ways of observation.
