The events began Friday 18th. July...

with the, Audi Junior Musician Concert, in the Royal Victoria Park, Bath. This event marked the pinnacle of Audi's Renowned Music Competition. Winners performed in front of an audience, who's ticket sales, contributed to the Foundation fund. Three performances took place during the day, in glorious Bath sunshine!

Other events over the weekend included:

* Audi driving school at Castle Coombe Racing Circuit.
Racing Champion , Derek Bell at the wheel.

* Hot air ballooning, One hour flights, over Bath & Somerset.

* Evening: A Roman Theme Banquet, Palm readers and actors played out Roman pageants at the Historical : Pump Rooms Restaurant.

* Audi Laser Materclass: at Chew Valley Lake.
Olympic Silver Medalist,
Ben Ainslie, and a team of professionals gave lessons on Saturday in this exciting sport.

Audi junior musician Audi Junior Musician is a National
Competition for 12 to 15 year old instrumentalists. Since its inception
in 1987 more than 3,000 young
musicians have taken part.
On Friday 18 and Saturday 19 July
three of the outstanding Audi Junior
Musicians performed in the,
Royal Victoria Park, BATH.

Beefhoven, Chopin and Wieniawski will
be perfomed on flute, violin and piano'.

Saturday & Sunday

The Audi balloon, tethered to a selection of Audi cars. Tethered balloon flights at £5 a time help raise money for the foundation.

The three day event has been very fortunate with the weather. Glorious July weather in this un-typical summer made the events especially popular.

the Jazz Brunch

The Audi Jazz Brunch, The Audi Marquee -
Royal Victoria Park. Sunday 20th July 1997

The concert took place between 1.00pm and 3.00pm.

A programme of relaxing Jazz by The Art Davis Quintet. With a line up of vocals, saxophone/flute, piano, double bass and drums. With classic songs of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington,
Rogers and Hart which have been interpreted by great singers such as Frank Sinatra, Nat 'King' Cole, Louis Armstrong and more recently Harry Connick Jnr.
All proceeds will go to the Audi Foundation, a charitable organisation to be launched by Audi UK in Bath this weekend. The Audi Jazz Brunch is sponsored by Audi Finance.
