What is the WAA?

The business of the WAA is maintained by 'The Process' UK based arts company.

The WAA is a dedicated to its membership, ie practicing artists and the arts establishment. In this respect the WAA works to:

  • To provide a global hyperlinked artspace
  • Increase the sale of member artists work
  • To provide greater exposure of members artwork
  • To provide a Chat room forum for the membership
  • To help, wherever possible with technical advice
  • To publicize members websites
  • To provide online e-commerce facilities
    (this is to happen soon)
  • Other activities as applicable


 

Joining  
How the (WAA)association works, and what its objectives are. Each of us, at present, are having to deal with the problems of ; on the one hand being professional artists while on the other having to be experts on the leading edge of Internet technology. A situation that undoubtedly diminishes the time (and strength) we can devote to the business of making art!

In addition the revenue available..when there is any...is small, hard to track down and donated on the size and importance of our 'Website'.

All of which dilute our efforts and resources.

In addition few of us have time to engage in discourse with related academic/art market and museum institutions. Although this would seem to be vital in the development of serious Internet art and recognition.

* Financial return A basis on which income can be achieved via the Internet for the benefit of members. The WAA has e-commerce online creditcard facilities which will be used to allow online artsales for members. Progress in this area is underway now.
* A shared skills base. Each member agrees to contribute some of their own expertise for the good of the association
* Education & training Online arts topics, courses and advice for members.
* A serious Forum An academic platform on which to discuss art matters and ideas.
* A distribution network Specific sites worldwide that actively transport artworks around the world.
* Very large amounts of Gallery space A collective has the capacity to combine many members 'Galleries' into one enormous hyperlinked artspace.
* the sponsorship potential The possibilities of major sponsors, due to the size and importance of the association membership.
* Help & advice A friendly peer group, somewhere for us to turn in those moments of despair!
* Multi platform support Diagnostics for those browser problems...that no-one ever lets you know are making your work look terrible

This WAA (World Artists Association) has no connection with the Califonia, USA. based Non-profit organization of a similar name.
